The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 is an advanced microcontroller board that marks a significant upgrade from its predecessors. Built on the new RP2350 microcontroller, it offers enhanced performance with a higher core clock speed, doubled on-chip SRAM, and increased on-board flash memory. This board features more powerful Arm cores, with an option for RISC-V cores, and introduces new security features along with upgraded interfacing capabilities. Despite these enhancements, the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 maintains both hardware and software compatibility with earlier models in the Raspberry Pi Pico series, ensuring a seamless transition for current users while delivering a substantial boost in performance and functionality.
